5. Project Facilitator - NORAD Child protection Project - 5-year project (5 positions based In Kampala, Lira, Luwero, Tororo, Kamuli)
The Project Facilitator will report to the Lead Programme Unit Manager with a dotted line to the NORAD Child Protection Project Manager. His/her major responsibility will be to lead implementation of project activities at District and community level. She/he ensures that the project is implemented with highest quality and in a timely manner as per the project design and Plan's CCCD approach and according to the procedures and guidelines for the project and the organisation in general.

Main Responsibilities/toy result areas
1. Prepare budgets, work-plans and ensure that project budgets are effectively managed as per NORAD and Plan guidelines
2. Promote participation of vulnerable children and youth, including girls, children out of school and children with disabilities in project activities
3. Conduct regular project administrative activities e.g writing and modification of Project Outlines, updating and generation of PPM reports and updates, requests.
4. Take a lead role in the promotion of project approaches to school and community-based child protection
5. Proper documentation of all project activities as well as writing high quality and timely reports as per NORAD and Plan guidelines
6. Conduct training and facilitation for partner staff, communities, children and youth on children's rights and child protection
7. Promote networking of groups and integration of programs to strengthen linkage both Internally and externally
8. Conduct regular assessments and participatory reviews of progress on the project activities
9. Strengthen community capacity to manage child protection related interventions through awareness creation based on human rights principles while encouraging participation of vulnerable groups
10. Create and coordinate community partnerships with other possible stakeholders

Job requirement

Essential Competencies
• Bachelor degree in Social Work, Development, Law or its equivalent, training /background on child protection.
• At least 3 years in implementation and delivery of child protection projects
• Knowledge of environment and current effective practice on child protection
• Demonstrable abilities in planning and coordination
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultures plus ability to lead and motivate people to work in teams
• Excellent communication skills, both in written English and in face-to-face presentation.
• Willingness to travel within the country
Personal Attributes:
• Excellent facilitation skills including facilitation of children and youth
• Skills in supporting and counselling vulnerable children
• Coaching and mobilisation skills
• Open to feedback and willing to try new approaches on child protection
• Computers skills (MS Office) and social media skills (Twitter, Face book, Youtube)
